The city of Liuzhou, is also known as the “City of the Dragon” after an old story about “Eight Dragons and the Water”. The Liu River plays an important role in both the history and life of the city.
The main strategy behind the project is to create a sustainable district at the edge of the river which is dynamic and comfortable and combines landscape and cultural qualities with a respect for historic tradition.
To this end we defined an urban structure based on a principal axis, two landscape zones and 13 functional districts.
